Serenity Rehab Facility located alongside the beautiful serene beaches of the Pacific Ocean. This 200 million dollar state of the art rehabilitation facility is the premiere addiction rehab facility in the country, where celebrities, socialites, and the wealthy come to squelch their addictions.
Dr. Colin Flannery, a very good-looking suave late 30’s doctor with a track record of results, even more so with the ladies. He is the residing leader of the staff, and with a little bit of fun he is able to find…innovative means of recovery.
As Colin’s moral Jiminy Cricket, Dr. Candace Riley, Serenity’s resident MD specializing in chemical detox. She radiates professionalism, maturity and stability in her work life but her personal life is out of control. Her 12-year-old daughter Gabby doesn’t want to live with her anymore and wants to move in with her father, Richard who Candace isn’t too fond of. Each day that passes, Candace finds it more and more difficult to separate her personal life from her work, resulting in a few lapses of judgment.
Morgan Brooks, Jack Taylor and Marco Ramirez round out the immediate team at Serenity. Morgan is an alternative medicine specialist. Her worldly resume matches her flamboyant personality. Marco Ramirez is the Latin lover that makes women go weak in the knees when around. He is an ex-military pilot from Spain who focuses on rebuilding the body physically with core strength training. Jack Taylor is a “recovered” addict. After ten years of living on the streets, injecting whatever he could find in his veins, Jack has turned his life around. He is an inspiration to those in the program bringing a real “been there, done that” attitude. Even though Jack has conquered his addiction, there are a few demons, which won’t go without a fight.
Rehab is as much about the patients as it is about the staff. Throughout the season there are some patients who are short term, where they only appear in an episode or two. Others are middle range, where they need a few months to rehab, much like Rock star Randy Jones who is a gypsy among rehab facilities. His are as numerous as there are track marks on his arms. Finally there are the lifers. They are the addicts who can’t/won’t work to stop the habit, instead they use their fortune paying for the attention of the doctors.
Rehab is full of addictions and conquering those addictions. It’s about the people and their stories, how they got here and where they go once they leave.

DR. COLIN FLANNERY – PSYCHIATRIST – very good looking and smart lead therapist at Serenity. His father was an abusive alcoholic who lead to Colin’s desire to work in a rehab facility. He is a playboy with an ability to connect with his patients in different ways. He is someone who will bend the rules when necessary but still keeps a moral code, which he won’t break.
DR. CANDACE RILEY – MEDICAL DOCTOR – SPECIALIZING IN DETOX – Candace has a 12-year-old daughter – As a single mother she notices that life continues to become more difficult, especially after her daughter Gabby wants to move in with her father. Candace, recently divorced is learning how to cope with her tween daughter, her job and managing her personal life without giving in to temptations
DR. MORGAN BROOKS – ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE AND THERAPY – Morgan is the life of the facility. Her extravagant lifestyle and flippant personality bring a quirky spin on both the staff and the patients. Don’t her tattooed body make light of her expertise in medicine. Each alternative method stems from her many international travels and she has enough stories for four lifetimes.
MARCO RAMIREZ – PHYSICAL THERAPY – Captain Marco Ramirez is a former air force pilot with a strong Latin accent. He is committed to rebuilding the body of the patients, sometimes he finds himself too close to his patients, which has been problematic in the past. Marco is strong willed and loyal, sometimes to a fault.
JACK TAYLOR – COUNSELOR - After 5 years of rehabilitation Jack is a new man, or at least he’s turned over a new leaf. He has been clean for 2 years and 3 months, if you don’t count that weekend in Vegas. Even though his sobriety has lapsed he is one of the most effective counselors at Serenity Rehab facility, mostly because he’s “been there and done that”. His youth inspires others to combat their illnesses.
RANDY JONES – MUSICIAN – COCAINE / HEROIN / MARIJUANA / CIGARETTES / ALCOHOL
Randy is one of the most popular musicians on the globe, having started his career off with ROADSHOW, a British rock group rivaling Rolling Stones in record sales, he like many wealthy rockers on the road have turned to temptation. Randy’s temptations are in the form of narcotics followed by a chaser of whatever booze is within arm’s reach. To say that drugs have taken its toll on Randy is an understatement. Once a powerful rocker, he now is a shell of his former self, struggling to keep standing for his concerts.
DAVE SANDERS – CEO OF A FORTUNE 500 COMPANY – ALCOHOLIC:
With three kids and a wife filing for divorce, Dave has fallen victim to alcoholism; he would drink anything he could get his hands on. He even has begun drinking mouthwash to get his fix. After three months in Serenity, Dave is making some progress with his addiction but after a meeting with his son who wants nothing to do with his father, Dave finds himself traveling on a downward spiral to near death.
KYLEY BROOKS – SUPERSTAR – COCAINE / HEROIN / MARIJUANA / ALCOHOL
Kyley is one of the most famous women in Hollywood. She puts girls like Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton to shame. Her partying lifestyle is like no other. Kyley is famous and she knows it. Her entourage is her enablers, with her brother and manager leading the way. It isn’t until she is face with a near death experience that she comes to Serenity, mainly as a PR ploy. Some people can’t be helped, can she?
MEGAN FOSTER – MODEL – ANOREXIA/BULIMIA
After three years as a model and a recent cover spread on Vogue, up and coming model Megan Foster is starving herself to death, literally. After collapsing on the runway she is the newest patient at Serenity.
